60+ Attend Statewide Retreat

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world.  Indeed it is the only thing that ever has.” – Margaret Mead

60+ Pacific Islander/Asian descent leaders from across Oregon gathered for a 2 day retreat in Mt Angel, OR.   It was the first retreat in 5 years, and was the culmination of a year-long effort by a committed Interim Board to energize and broaden APANO’s participation.  A newly elected 20-member Board was seated, representing 10 different Asian/Pacific Islander communities, and 3 strategic goals were established – Organizational Development, Policy Advocacy, and API Listening Circles (also known as the Many Rivers Project).

Thanks to all who made the retreat possible, and for all who participated and send good wishes.
