APANO is seeking candidates for a Political Director position. Consideration of candidates will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.

Hours: 1.0 Full Time Equivalent (40 hours/week)
Compensation: $47,500 to $54,000 dependent upon experience, plus benefits: 90% employer-paid medical, dental, vision and naturopathic health insurance, 401K plan with employer contribution, subsidized transit pass, data plan credit, paid professional development opportunities, paid time off starting at three weeks per year, seven paid holidays annually, and flexible family-friendly schedule.
The Political Director will lead our Political Team to provide political and strategic direction, direct electoral organizing and year-round civic engagement efforts with our members, staff, and partners. They will build political power to ensure we win during elections, and sustain successful grassroots campaigns beyond Election Day. The Political Director will work closely with the Organizing Team to develop and oversee campaigns where APANO is supporting or leading. They will direct efforts to grow APANO’s membership base and engage with other API organizations statewide. The Political Director will be responsible for convening the VOTE Network and providing technical assistance to API organizations doing civic engagement work. This position is part of the organization’s senior leadership and will support a growing, seasoned team of member-leaders and paid staff working to win concrete change in the lives of Asian and Pacific Islanders in Oregon, and the larger world. They will report directly to the Executive Director and supervise at least 2 other full-time staff.
