Every person not counted in the 2010 census costs our community money, and the undercount of Asian and Pacific Islander makes us more invisible and takes funding away from culturally-specific and bilingual human and educational services. Oregon lost millions of dollars due to the undercount in 2000.

On March 12th and March 13th, 2010, over 100 Pacific Islanders and Asian Americans, Immigrants and Refugees from across Oregon will be gathering in the mid-Willamette valley in the small town of Mt Angel, OR. DisOrient, an annual Asian Pacific Islander film festival in Eugene, OR, is holding its first shows in Portland June 26 at the Hollywood Theater showing White on Rice and Manilatown is in the Heart. Hat tip to Jason, Anselmo, Reagan and Mimi from Eugene!
