APANO has joined with 20 other organizations representing communities of color, immigrants and refugees, including several civic groups from the Asian and Pacific Islander communities to sponsor two candidate forums on April 29 and May 4. Oregon’s Primary Election is May 18.

Every person not counted in the 2010 census costs our community money, and the undercount of Asian and Pacific Islander makes us more invisible and takes funding away from culturally-specific and bilingual human and educational services. Oregon lost millions of dollars due to the undercount in 2000.
