Communications Associate

Position Title: Communications Associate
Reports to: Communications Coordinator
Duration: Regular
Hours: 20 hours/week
Compensation: $15-17/hour

The Asian Pacific American Network of Oregon (APANO) is looking for a motivated and culturally responsive Communications Associate to support APANO’s programming efforts with a critical focus on online engagement. The successful candidate will have a range of opportunities to develop skills, knowledge, and confidence in working for social justice. The ideal candidate has strong writing skills, understands the social justice movement, is movement-oriented, and is excited to work to build a dynamic, queer-friendly, multi-ethnic, API-centered and led, intergenerational organization. They will be results-oriented, responsive and responsible, self-aware, dynamic and a passionate individual who values and practices direct communication with their colleagues and team.

Jade Community Development Coordinator

Posting Date: Feb 1, 2017

Position Title: Jade Community Development Coordinator

Reports to: Jade District Manager

Duration: Limited Duration (funding secured for 1 year)

Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week)

Compensation: Salary of $32,000-$42,000 based on experience, generous 90% employer-paid medical, dental, vision and naturopathic health insurance, 401K plan, subsidized transit pass, cell phone credit, paid time off & seven paid holidays annually. Flexible work hours.

Position Description:

The Asian Pacific American Network of Oregon (APANO) is looking for a motivated and culturally responsive Jade Community Development Coordinator to support the Jade District and community development efforts in the area around Southeast 82nd Ave and Southeast Division Street in Portland, Oregon. This position will have a specific focus on development relating to the Division Transit Project, a major region-wide transit project planned for the region. In addition to this focus, major job duties including community organizing and outreach.
