American Revolutionary: A Free Community Film Screening Hosted by APANO in Solidarity of Black Lives

A screening and discussion of American Revolutionary: The Evolution of Grace Lee Boggs told the inspiring story of a Chinese American writer, activist, and philosopher rooted for more than 70 years in the African American movement. This film of interracial solidarity was followed by a panel discussion featuring members of Black Lives Matter Portland, All-African People's Revolutionary Party, Washco Solidarity, and Portland Asians4BlackLives. This event was part of MicCheck!, a summer cultural event series organized by the Arts & Media Project (AMP) at APANO. MicCheck! utilized the arts to illuminate pressing issues affecting Asians and Pacific Islanders and other communities of color.
