Want to get more involved in APANO’s advocacy around policies that impact our communities? Interested in how Asians and Pacific Islanders can build political power? APANO’s 2016 legislative trainings will focus on policy issues around health access for the 383,000 Oregonians–roughly 1 in 10–still lacking health coverage, and many others prevented from accessing care due to high costs or discrimination. Join us to learn about our 2016 legislative priorities, and how community members can use their voice during the legislative session.
Two Dates: Register today!
What is the legislative session? Our state’s lawmakers will be meeting for 35 days in February. During this period called the “short session”, they will be reviewing and voting on policies that have an impact on our communities. This means members can directly give input, and advocate for issues.
Dinner will be provided. Childcare and interpretation available upon request with one week advance notice.
This training will prepare members to participate in APANO’s Day of Action at the State Capitol on Monday, February 15th, 2016! For more information about this training, contact firstname.lastname@example.org
