82nd Ave Climate Resilience Corridor: Community and Residential Solar Program

Portland, OR

This Request for Proposals (RFP) solicits, qualification, narrative and pricing from qualified contractors to respond to ONE OR MORE of the following THREE Projects within the 82nd Ave Climate Resilience Corridor: Community and Residential Solar Program (the “Program”):

  1. Design, furnish, and install up to 1MW DC, 800 kW AC of ground-mounted photovoltaic shared solar array in NE Portland (the “Community Solar Project”). The 82nd Ave. Community Solar project intends to register in the Oregon Community Solar Program (https://www.oregoncsp.org/) and will be virtually net metered;
  2. Enable the installation of approximately 4 kW peak solar (exact number may vary by home depending on roof layout) on up to 15 homes (homes still TBD) in the 82nd Avenue Corridor neighborhoods (the “Residential Solar Project”); 
  3. Install approximately three (3), up to five (5), Level 2 EV Charging Stations at community sites along 82nd Avenue (the “EV Charging Station Project”).

We frame our work in terms of building community power, preventing involuntary displacement, and improving public health outcomes. This project of advancing renewable energy and BIPOC contractor development is part of our broader strategy to build a climate resilient corridor, educate our communities around clean energy, and provide real economic benefits as part of an anti-displacement strategy. Our organization is focused on making the Jade District the most transit rich, most climate resilient, and affordable district in Portland.
