Building our Power: Legislative Trainings in Portland and Salem

Want to get more involved in APANO’s advocacy around policies that impact our communities? Interested in how Asians and Pacific Islanders can build political power? APANO’s 2016 legislative trainings will focus on policy issues around health access for the 383,000 Oregonians--roughly 1 in 10--still lacking health coverage, and many others prevented from accessing care due to high costs or discrimination. Join us to learn about our 2016 legislative priorities, and how community members can use their voice during the legislative session.

Two Dates: Register today!

What is the legislative session? Our state's lawmakers will be meeting for 35 days in February. During this period called the "short session", they will be reviewing and voting on policies that have an impact on our communities. This means members can directly give input, and advocate for issues.

Dinner will be provided. Childcare and interpretation available upon request with one week advance notice.

This training will prepare members to participate in APANO’s Day of Action at the State Capitol on Monday, February 15th, 2016! For more information about this training, contact kathy@apano.org

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
