Chinese Parent Meeting, November 5th

APANO's work is dedicated to ensuring equal rights for our communities and strengthening English language learning for our children. We work closely as a partner with Portland Public Schools around expanding the Chinese Dual Language Immersion programs and creating the best educational experience for your child.

We are writing to invite you and your family to our district wide Chinese Parent Meeting on November 5, 2015 from 6 - 8 pm at Harrison Park Elementary (2225 SE 87th Ave, Portland, OR 97216). The goal of this meeting is to hear from you about your experiences with your child’s school. We will also address the value of parent engagement, parent rights, the astounding benefits of Dual Language Immersion, and introduce Portland Public School’s Chinese community agent, Edison Bee. Edison will talk about his role in the district, and in particular, supporting Chinese speaking parents whose first language is not English.

Portland Public Schools and APANO value your voice. As parents, you are the expert on your child and know what is working and what is not. We want to hear from you and constantly improve the delivery of educational services to your child. We hope that you can join us!

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
