Open Studios
Open Studios is a free, drop-in, BIPOC-only, masks-required space to make and share art with other BIPOC folks. It is a tender container to work on your solo creative projects, use APANO’s art resources, meet people and make something with them, and/or just BE (literally, we’ve got yoga mats for naps). We created Open Studios to explore the intersections of art, healing, and liberation. Art is innately healing–it channels our instincts, emotions, spirit, ancestral wisdom. Our creative acts are sacred acts of resistance–our imagination can dream up new worlds free from oppression. We want to provide a safe and accessible space for community to regularly nurture creativity and share their unique medicine with community to uplift, heal, and inspire each other.
