APANO is proud to host events throughout the year that work to support our organization as a whole, through fundraising, education, community engagement, and fun. An Events Committee is formed annually to plan, coordinate, and execute major events. Please see APANO’s individual organizing programs for information about program-specific events. For information on our major events, please contact us at info@apano.org.

May is recognized nationally as Asian + Pacific Islander Heritage Month. This year, we invite you to join us in celebrating the rich history and resilience of Asians and Pacific Islanders in Oregon and support the future leadership and initiatives of our communities.

Throughout the month of May, APANO Communities United Fund will dive into the theme of community. Our Liberation in Practice series for BIPOC participants will return for its second year, hosting conversations that delve into why community is important, interrogate the “API” moniker, and ground us in the power we find with each other.

We will cap off our month with Voices of Change: Community Celebration, which all of our community, partners, and allies are invited to. We envision Voices of Change to be a time where we reconnect, celebrate, and energize our community. We are here – the future is in our hands.

Every other year APANO produces a day-long statewide convention that offers workshops, networking opportunities, cultural performances, and at least one prestigious API keynote speaker. The day culminates in a banquet for all convention attendees. We are always looking for sponsors and partners for this event, so please contact us for more information. All are welcome; registration is required.
